In the case of addictions to love, the person who engages in physical intimacy with their partner feels good about it. The only way they can separate themselves from their partners is to seek out other people to experience the physical intimacy with, such as through masturbation or sexual contact.

Many people who are addicted to love exhibit all three of the above symptoms. They may not always exhibit the above symptoms but at times, they will display all three.
